Sunday Snaps: Anise Cookies
Even though I am up to my eyeballs in cookies, this photo by Brown Eyed Baker caught my eye as I was trolling through the Al Dente flickr pool. It looks an awful lot like a cookie that my Nonna used to make, except she'd always top her's off with rainbow colored sprinkles. Yum.
We'd love to see what you're whipping up at home, too. Why don't you add your food photos to the Al Dente flickr pool? You never know. One of them might be featured here one Sunday.
How is your holiday baking going?

Looks to be a good one that's completely worthy of a try this weekend. I think that this will without a doubt prove to be a very good thing to give a try at your cooking skills and with Christmas just round the corner things will just seems to be better with time.

This is a recipe 100 years old from Germany. I use it every Christmas. Its traditionally served with black coffee to kill the cookie that prefer to eat when they are still warmer than the taste of lemon and anise is a wonderful combination and the lemon is stronger at this time.
