The Best Pastry Shops in Paris
If the best restaurants in the world are out of your league, consider the best pastry shops in Paris. Freelance writer and illustrator Jessie Oleson, also known as Cakespy to her friends and fans, spent a week in Paris and hit up 35 pastry shops in those seven days to come up with the best in all 20 Paris arrondisements.
She writes about the most well known shops and their affordable luxuries, like the hot chocolate at Cafe Angelina, the religieuses at Laduree, the brioches at Le Notre and the macarons at Pierre Herme, as well as the lesser known hot spots like Berko, a Parisian cupcake shop. (Drool over all 35 of her picks here.)
Even if you're not planning a trip to Paris anytime soon, why not take a cue from Cakespy and create a "best" list of your own. Do a little "research" into the best restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries or food carts in your own home town and share it here with us. After all, affordable luxuries aren't always a world away. Sometimes they're right in your own backyard.

I admire the valuable information you offer in your articles. I will bookmark your blog and have my children check up here often. I am quite sure they will learn lots of new stuff here than anybody else.

I'm drooling! Seriously - what a great idea to make a list for the area that you live in. That way, when people visit or you are looking for something special to do, you can simply pull out your list and pick something!

But then again too much of coffee is bad for your teeth. Just make sure that you have a toothbrush once you're done.
