7-11 Debuts Private-Label Wine

7-11_wines 7-Eleven, Inc., and Seven-Eleven Japan have joined forces to introduce two private-label wines--Yosemite Road Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are produced in California exclusively for 7-Eleven, and will be available in the companies' 15,000 convenience, department, and grocery stores, Denny's family restaurants, and department stores (?!) in Japan. I haven't had the privilege of trying these wines yet, but their $3.99 price tag seems like a compelling enough reason to do a little research...

Jay Leno had this item on his show on Tuesday...the audience was in stitches. He said, "I guess it's for people who think boxed wine is too pretentious."

And being able to have wine with one's meal at Denny's? I wonder which one would go with grits.....

The public may not have known what the messages meant, but it helped pay for them. The skywriting stunt was supported by city and state public funding, according to the High Line's website. http://www.mtsconverter.it "I wanted a narrative trajectory towards something optimistic at the end, which was the last message, 'Now Open,'" she said of the work. http://www.mtsconverter.it/mts-converter-for-mac.htm
