Almost Edible Photo: Deep Fried Pizza

Is it just that I’m starving? Or crazy? But this deep fried pizza (the photo’s from the entertaining FXcuisine.com) picture is really making me hungry. I’d heard that the deep-frying obsession had made its way to pizza (from friends of mine that were in Scotland recently, where, funny enough, this picture is from), but haven’t yet tried any myself. If anyone has, and has a take on crispy slices, let me know. It looks tasty in a weird way--but maybe it’s just weird?

I'd eat it in a second... not because I think it would be great, but just to try it.

I can attest strongly as to how wonderful it tastes, I suggest a topping of cheese and onion as this tastes the best,it makes me homesick just thinking of this sinful treat

Not too wierd these days. I know a guy that deep fries deviled eggs. I'd try it, and probably love it too. :-)

Isn't a pizza puff basically a deep fried pizza? I like those so this is probably just as tasty.

Have you tried the deep fried mars bar? Or commonly known in the U.S. as a milky way...but still no matter it's name who in their right mind would think about frying it unless it accidentally fell in the deep fat fryer at the local chip shop!!!!

They were deep frying pizzas when I was in Scotland in 1990. I went for the deep fried haggis instead.

I was very dubious about pizza crunch when I first heard about them, but have to say, once I tried it, I've never looked back! OMG this is comfort food at it's best and I'd walk over a mountain of chocolate to get to a single pizza crunch any day of the week!

my favourite is cheese and mushroom, layered with chippy brown sauce! gosh I'm salivating just at the thought...
