Be a Green Gourmet
Just in time for Earth Day (April 22), check out Cuisinart's Green Gourmet line of cookware. I had the good fortune of being able to try the 12-Inch stainless skillet in this collection and it was fantastic! The ceramic-based nonstick pan sauteed veggies and tofu with minimal cooking oil (I use a dash of olive oil with everything, but I could've gone without), and turned out an omelet like a pro. The pan is super serious about conducting heat so I had it on a medium-low setting, and it was awesome not worrying about scorching myself with a hot handle. Safe for use on gas, electric, glass ceramic, and halogen cooktops, Green Gourmet cookware is PTFE- and PFOA-free, and manufactured using 70% recycled stainless steel. The Ceramica nonstick coating is water-based and scratch-resistant so it won't peel off. The packaging was also a nice surprise--made from 100% recycled materials and printed using biodegradable soy ink. Did I mention the skillet is also really easy on the eyes? Kudos Cuisinart!
