The Greatest Glasses on Earth

Bodum_rigi Okay, that's a pretty big claim, but let me explain. I recently came into possession of a set of Bodum's Rigi Double-Wall Thermo glasses, and they blow my mind on a daily basis. The mouthblown borosilicate glass is extremely lightweight, yet the double-wall design insulates beverages to keep them hot or cold, while keeping those extreme temperatures away from your hands. I am constantly amazed when I pour boiling water into the glass for tea, and can immediately pick up the glass and carry it around. The one caveat of this is that you'll be fooled into thinking your hot tea/toddy/chocolate is ready to drink, when in fact it's still piping hot.

The insulated glass also keeps condensation from forming on the glass when filled with cold drinks, which is fantastic if you have nice furniture and friends who don't know how to use coasters. The glasses are dishwasher and microwave safe, and the Rigi design is stackable so they save space in the cupboard. These glasses have proven to be indispensable, and the boxed set of two makes a pretty cool gift. Thanks Bodum!

I have a couple of these too, they're great. Definitely a good tip about thinking your hot drinks are cool enough to drink. Have to get used to things staying hot much longer than they would in a typical mug/glass. Another plus is they're beautiful! Nice to see what you're drinking.
