A Grape Keepsake
|
In theory, I think wine journals are great. You can keep track of hidden gems, incredible bottles, and varietals you may want to avoid going forward. But in reality, I have never been able to devote myself to one. I start off with the purest of intentions, but end up writing two or three entries before losing interest.
However, seriouseats.com may have presented a solution to my problem: a wine scrapbook. Steaming off the labels is a bit of work, but the ability to memorialize a bottle with margin notes from all involved is awesome. What better way to remember a great bottle and a great evening?
That said, I'm not sure I like the thought of my kids reading scribbled notes from my loutish friends fifteen years from now...
