Snail Caviar--Would You Eat It?
Thanks to Neatorama for cluing us in to the latest in the world of luxury gastronomy! According to Luxury Insider, snail caviar is brand new to the marketplace after four years in development. The caviar consists of "smooth cream-colored pearls that reportedly burst on the tongue with subtle autumn and woody flavors."

Sure, why not? I've eaten snails, I've eaten caviar. Neither of which has ever wowed me with flavor.
Granted, someone else would have to pay for it. I'd not shell out money to eat something that gets a culinary 'meh' from the tastebuds.

Yes, if there were a bunch of caviar connoisseurs around and I had someone to pass me the Tabasco. I would, of course, be filming the horrified reactions.

My initial reactions would be, "ooo yucky nooo!" But I had the opportunity to eat at a 4 star city club some years ago. It was one of those 7 course affairs. After one of the bigger courses they put a tiny little plate with a bit of grilled something or other in a neatly folded leek leaf fashioned into a cup. I munched it down and thought it had a delicious woody smoky flavor and was very delicate and enjoyable. Then, someone at the table said that was one of the better plates of escargot that had ever had. I kinda sat their slack jawed for a sec -- realizing I just ate a snail. It was outside the shell so I hadn't a clue. Everyone else digged in so I politely did the same. But knowing what they can taste like I'd do it again.
Sounds like the snail caviar probably has that same woody flavor.

Absolutely! I've eaten caviar and escargot as well. Mind you, I'd certainly hope for a bit more of the escargot-ness, as caviar is most assuredly more of an "acquired taste" to my palate.

I'm gonna start selling my dog turds, it has hints of liver and musty tones of intestines. People will eat anything... No I wouldn't eat it, I'm not up my own ass so much that I need to pretend I'm something I'm not...

It tastes like grass water, its very interesting and is sensitive to light, turns into purple/pink colors when exposed to light for a day or so... The eggs are huge and white and taste is interesting and mild.
