Thanks to CandyUSA on Twitter, I just discovered a new-ish (September) blog, Candy Dish Blog, from the National Confectioners Association. Such a happy discovery on a Friday! On this fun candycentric blog, I learned several essential candy facts:
- Two new flavors of Dum-Dums are being introduced, following a recent vote
- You can make Ikebana with M&Ms
- M&Ms can also be used to make lovely mandalas (which becomes even more interesting when considering that Carl Jung thought of mandalas as "a representation of the unconscious self")
- The British Medical Journal debunked the myth that sugar causes hyperactivity in children
- The Smothers Brothers sang about falling in a vat of chocolate
And, oh so many more fun sugar-coated blog posts! Go ahead, make your Friday extra sweet.

Halloween is coming up. My kids are very excited to go trick or treating. Right now the drug world is so crazy so I don't even know if I want to take my kids trick or treating. I heard that people put meth that looks like candy inside of little packages and give them out to kids. They look just like candy and kids don't know any better so they eat it and they could die.
