7-11's Private Label Steps Up
Joining the ranks of Safeway, Fred Meyer, and Walgreen's to name a few, 7-11 has recently expanded their private label line called 7-Select. Available since 2004, the line is now jumping from 32 products to 180, and will include such 7-11 staples as cookies, candy, chips, trail mix, and beef jerky. As is the case with most other private label brands, the 7-Select products will reportedly cost 10-20% less than everything else on the shelves. I have yet to try 7-Select products since there isn't a 7-11 nearby, but considering I've already been won over by Safeway's private label items, I'm guessing I won't have a problem with 7-11's line. And chips and cookies 20% cheaper than the brand name ones? I can definitely handle that.

sounds good, but 7-11 has higher prices than other stores (at least the one near me does), so 10-20% off might not be such a great deal.
