Smoking In a Can
Dutch beverage supplier United Drinks and Beauty Corporation recently unveiled 'Liquid Smoking,' a fruit-flavored herbal drink that claims to deliver the same fix as cigarettes. Rather than nicotine, the drink contains a potent mix of roots from South African plants, and is purported to provide an effect similar to smoking--a slight boost in alertness, then a euphoric, calming feeling. The beverage company hopes to sell the product in pubs and bars as a mixer with spirits such as vodka, and though there is no age limit to buy the drink, the makers say they do not think it's appropriate for anyone under age 15.
Chief executive of United Drinks and Beauty Corporation says there was no research proving the drink was harmful in any way, but they are waiting for clearance from health authorities in Holland to be able to sell the product there. "The product we have developed has got similar properties to nicotine, so we are trying to help people out who are affected by the ban on nicotine. People might use this instead of a cigarette or tobacco to help the cravings."

Well, I did entirely quit drinking alcohol. I suppose another vice is in order.
I love how the can resembles a Marlboro box. LOL!

The drink is okay. But it's hard to suck it through the filter tip.

Yeah. I wonder if Philip Morris feels the same way.

The can is amusing, but it makes me think the drink will taste like cigarette water. They should try a different look.

Dangit!! I thought this was going to be a post about smoking a small quantity of meat in a tin can, something my kids might like to do because they like smoked meat. Instead it's just about some trendy energy drink.

Smoking is the process of flavoring, cooking, or preserving food by exposing it to the smoke from burning or smoldering plant materials, most often wood. Meats and fish are the most common smoked foods, though cheeses, vegetables, and ingredients used to make beverages such as whisky[1], Rauchbier and lapsang souchong tea are also smoked.

I wonder if this product became a success. The whole liquid smoking idea doesn't just feel right, even for a regular smoker.
