Bacon Defeats Fries!

And it wasn't even close. From the breakfast table to Colorado's 14th district, everyone knows that Bacon is always the winning choice. Oh, Fries, when will you learn...

Bacon is always delicious. Fries generally requires condiments. Catsup, or something; no one wants dry fries.

Obviously bacon is better. It is naturally bad for you, whereas fries, which are just potatos, have to be fried to be bad for you.

Plus, bacon is good even if soggy. Fries, not so.
Morgan on November 06, 2008 at 04:47 PM
Potatoes are plenty naturally bad for you, eat a few raw ones and enjoy. But really, why can't they just work together. Bacon and cheese fries can lead the way to a post-partisan future.
Spanno on November 06, 2008 at 04:48 PM
I rationalize it as such: Bacon has it's own delicious fat. Fries require fat to be added.

No surprise that pork -- in the form of Bacon -- has a natural home in the Democratic Party. And starchiness -- in the form of Fries -- is still welcome in the Republican.

Obviously Bacon was propelled to victory by the Adkins lobby.

Why can't we all just get along? Bacon with fries, I say!
Horst Graben on November 06, 2008 at 05:19 PM
Fries lost because they are now cooked in vegetable oil. If they were still fried in lard, Fries would have won in a landslide.

Bacon is famous for bringing the pork back (or was that fatback?) to the home district.
Plus it has the grease to get things *done* in the capitol.

Typical of the lowering of standard in this country. Any damn fool can cook bacon, making good french fries requires actual skill.

Mmmmmm... bacon.

Bacon wins by virtue of winning the burp contest. NOTHING burps better than bacon.

I demand a recount.
