Almost (In)Edible Photo: Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburgers

From flickr, via...THE DEVIL. Either that, or it's from a Google cafeteria in New York. Apparently they serve Krispy Kreme bacon cheeseburgers, a.k.a Luther Burgers.

Something most of the comments seem to be overlooking is efficiency. Think of all the time saved by having your burger and dessert wrapped up in one package. Not only does it save time, it saves energy since you don't have to waste all that effort chewing your dessert after your meal. Looks like a winner to me.

Avoid chewing altogether. Just throw in a blender with a vanilla milkshake.

Dude.

By themselves, each constituent element herein shown is a beautiful thing: Krispy Kremes, Cheeseburgers, and bacon. America was founded on, and remains strong because of such wonders as these.

Stitch them together as some kind of fast-food Frankenstein, and they become something unholy,
a beast to be shunned, feared and avoided at all costs.

Wow, what were they smoking to come up with this idea? Yuck!

Say what you will, I have not doubt those would be so delicious that one bite would make you an addict.

lolz....that reall food right there...gives you the itis....u eat that and just crash into sleep....

If you love bacon so much,

Go all the way, man.

Somehow this combo doesn't sound appealing, but I'll have to try it before completely writing it off. But sugar+beef just doesn't make any sense. Man, how many calories whould this be?

I LOVE this country!

>> You should batter the Luther Burger and deep fry it. Then drizzle it with your caramel/butter sauce.

A visionary, this one.

Oh no, folks, hang on.... We did these in SC a while back and they are THE bomb! but trust me, no more than 2, K?
YUM!

i like it.
yammy.

Fuck, those look evil. Evil in a 'get that away from me' way and not evil in a 'I want one now' kind of way.

tres Darwinian

That looks delicious!! I want 10

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth!

Only in America =9

oh man, my tummy hurts juat looking at that. :[

well, if they weren't glazed, i could totally do it. but i can't imagine the sweet with the burger would work well to me. like mother always says "don't knock it until you try it" eh? ... maybe?

This makes me want to throw up.... not in a vomitorium though... lol

It's just junk food.

Yea, you shouldn't eat them regularly. I doubt most people even *could* eat them regularly. It would be like having ice cream for dinner on a regular basis.

But it's hardly the epitome of excess. I'm sure every meat-eater here has consumed both a burger and a doughnut within a 24 hour period at some point in their lives. Or a hamburger and fries, which is probably about the caloric equivalent.

And given that I've seen this item mentioned multiple times in various locals with favorable reviews, it seems to actually be pretty good, not just a weird novelty food. Not that unthinkable - a lot of BBQ sauces have honey or molasses in them. Caramelized sugar can be a good accompaniment to grilled meat.

Hell, I might try making this at home. It's a bit like making the Elvis sandwich - ie, the peanut butter, banana, honey and potato chips sandwich, fried in butter, drizzled with more honey, and eaten with a knife and fork. Eat more than one a month and you'll die like Elvis, but eaten once in a blue moon, a damn good thing.

Obama will be eating one on TV by next Tuesday.

Thinking it will ingratiate himself to another demographic: schmucks with terminal munchies

seriously... I could vomit just from looking at those... that is so freakin gross!!!
