I question the general assumption that bacon goes well with maple doughnuts. Can you send one down my way for a taste test?
I agree, it's repulsive, but I'm a bit curious just the same.

I've had it. It's deelish! Tell me you've never dipped your bacon or sausage in the syrup while enjoying your Sunday pancake breakfast. Two great tastes that go great together! Definitely on the list.

I'm not sure if I'd like it. I do LOVE maple bars (or maple long johns depending on where you are from)and miss them like crazy since moving to the south where they only have Krispy Kreme. Check out Chef Anthony Bourdain's (No Reservations on the Travel Channel)reaction to eating one...
