I've been invited to a pie party, and I'm trying to think of an unusual pie to bring. I'm also lazy, especially when it comes to cooking on weeknights. (The party's on a Friday.)
I was thinking about getting a ready-made pie crust and making a custard pie filled with loads of applewood-smoked bacon bits.
Thoughts, pointers?
I'm so lazy that I don't even want to pre-bake the pre-made pie crust. Could I possibly use a pre-made graham cracker crust for a custard pie?

It's not custard, but pumpkin which scores higher in my book:

Best of luck! May the bacon be with you.

I ate half a pound of bacon the other day and grossed myself out. Waaaaay too much salt. It was right about at half a pound when it felt like my gills slammed shut, and I didn't even know I had gills. Put me off bacon for a good, oh, week or so. I discovered I can cook a whole half pound at once by using the trivet that comes with a pressure cooker to press them all flat and control spattering.
