P + 7 = Delicious?

Recently read on the Junk Food Blog about the new-for-the-holidays Pomegranate 7 Up, which was released on November 1st, but which I haven’t been able to track down and taste yet. As someone who tends towards drinking the clear, bubbly sodas (and the sorta-clear ginger ale), this is slurpily fun news. Have any Al Dente readers taken the plunge into this latest version of 7 Up? If so, add a comment and let me know if I should be as excited as I am. And not just excited for the straight drinking either: a tall glass of Pomegranate 7 Up with an ounce or two of pomegranate or regular vodka and a lemon slice sounds like a nice way to while away the hours (though, admittedly, it seems a bit like it would be a great summer sipper, which makes it a shame that this fresh flavor is only available through January 31st. Maybe, if it is delicious, I’ll have to buy a case and take a trip to Aruba. That’d be feeling lucky 7 indeed).

Man, I hate having to authenticate and to type those silly little on-screen passcodes just to write a post!
Anyway, this drink looks tasty!

Sure does. Hope they extend it. Hope I can find some!

I've tired it and it's actually really good. I'll have to give some consideration to its mixing potential, though. . . .

Last Winter Sierra Mist came out with a cranberry soda. It was pretty good. The thing is, I have mixed cranberry juice blends with citrus sodas for years. What took the soda gurus so long to figure this out?
